Imperial League 3.0
The Imperial League Tournament is where the best of the best come to play from across DK Premier Club. The teams that finished in the top 5 of the League 2.0 competition are joined by the top 12 best performing teams in the standings for the League 3.0 competition after GameWeek 17.
Teams are paired according to their qualification ranking, with the Top 5 teams from League 2.0 given precedence over those that qualified in League 3.0. Strongest ranked team is ranked against the lowest ranked team starting with the number 1 ranked team playing the 16th ranked team, successively until the 8th ranked team is paired with the 9th ranked team.
Once teams have been paired into brackets, a Scoring Series is used to determine which team will progress to the next round. The Scoring Series are based on the days that Champions League matches are played according to the Champions League calendar. In the case of Round 1 (round of 16) Champions League (CL) scoring series are played over 8 days, the QF and SF rounds Scoring Series are played over 4 days, and the final is played over one day as it is only one match.
For the Round of 16 and Quarterfinals, CLASSIC tournaments are played in Draft Kings to determine the outcome of the scoring series; for the Semifinals and Final, SHOWDOWN tournaments are played. A 'winner take all' scoring methodology is applied for each day that the Scoring Series is played. The team that outscores its opponent each day of the Scoring Series is awarded one point regardless of the winning margin generated in the Draft Kings tournaments. If teams are tied after playing an entire Scoring Series, tie breakers are applied.
Using the example above of a Round of 16 scoring series, both Team A and Team B have split the number of days that Champions League games have been played, each recording a point based on their Draft Kings tournament scores as indicated in light grey. As both teams have 4 points in this Scoring Series, tie breakers must be applied. Tie breakers are applied as follows:

1. The team with the highest stadium class will be declared the winner.
2. If both teams have the same category stadium, the aggregate number of
tournament points in Draft Kings will be used as a tie breaker.
3. If both teams are still level on aggregate points, which ever team
had the highest rank coming into the tournament will be declared the winner.
There is no disqualification of absence penalties for teams that do not submit line ups in Draft Kings. However, a team will be credited with a '0' score if team submits no line up.
